Viersen, Edward Tjipke (Ted) - Passed away Peacefully at Idlewyld Manor on February 5, 2018 in his 96th year.

He had recently celebrated his 95th birthday surrounded by friends and family.

Predeceased by Frances(2000), his wife of 55 years and Peggy(2015), his wife of 6 years. Dear friend to Wilma Groen. Loving Father of Roma (Peter), Sandi (Frank), Chip (Lida), Maynard (Barbara) and Edward (Sophie) and Stepfather to Fred (Nell). Beloved “Pake” to 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson.

Ted was a Second World War veteran and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He was a founding member of the Ancaster Senior Achievement Centre and active in the Mount Hamilton Kiwanis Club. He was a skilled craftsman who through his retail paint and wallpaper stores decorated many homes in the Hamilton region. He will be missed by many friends and colleagues.

Visitation will be held at MA Clark Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington St, Hamilton, ON on Friday February 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Service to be held at Ancaster Christian Reformed Church, 70 Garner Rd, Ancaster, ON on Saturday February 10th at 11 am.
