Anne Rintjema

March 13, 1934 - December 4, 2019

RINTJEMA, Anne

Went to be with her Lord on December 4th, 2019 at the Juravinski Hospital, at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband John. Loving mother of Jack (Christine), Barbara (Harold) Schilstra, Hank (Bev), Rob (Marilyn), and Holly and Ivy. Proud Oma of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings George (Gertie) Huizinga, Wilma (John) Heeg and Aukje (the late Henry) Boers. Predeceased by her brother Albert (Gerta). Fondly and sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and many family and friends. Will be remembered by her dear friend Dina. She enjoyed her career as a well respected school bus driver, which allowed her to explore her adventurous and fearless nature. Her favourite past times included knitting and cross stitching, which she excelled at, and would create beautiful pieces from memory, whether at home or while occupying wait time on the bus. Visitation will be at IMMANUEL CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH (61 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton) on Tuesday December 10th from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A private family burial, will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held, at the church on Wednesday December 11th at 1:00pm.

Anne always brimmed with a smile, abundant joy and optimism. A day of hanging out with Hank always started with a visit with her. When asked how she was, she would always say, "I can't complain, and no one would listen anyway". I will miss those visits, but they will continue to bring a smile to my face.

Thinking of you this week and praying that God will sustain you all as you gather together to reflect on her life.
