Hannah Demik

September 18, 1989 - October 30, 2022

The sun went out on Sunday, October 30th. We are heartbroken that God chose to take Hannah before any of us were ready. Hannah Grace Demik was the beloved daughter of Peter and Selina, sister to PJ and Lisse, Quinn and Mannat, granddaughter to Lydia, the love of Benjamin Clarke's life, daughter to Steve and Liz, and sister of Jesse, and Madi Clarke. Hannah was loved by a large extended family who share in the enormity of her loss.

Hannah embodied grace in both name and action. She was a brightly shining light as a Special Constable in the Hamilton Police service, and her loss will be felt by many colleagues. Hannah was vibrant and boisterous, and the silence left in her absence speaks volumes to the joy she brought to everyone she knew. There are not enough words to describe Hannah.

Visitation will be held at Ancaster Grace Community Christian Reformed Church, 70 Garner Rd. E, Ancaster on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 6-9pm, and Friday, Nov. 4 from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held at Ancaster Grace Community Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11am, preceded by private interment. Funeral arrangements are being managed by MA Clark & Sons in Hamilton.

It is well.

Hannah was as others described her....a beautiful, vibrant soul... an angel. She was so kind, caring and thoughtful. As a co-worker of Hannah's for many years, I would like to add that her strength and kindness always amazed me. She could so easily and gently change a bad situation with her sweet smile or a little giggle.

My heart goes out to the Demik and Clarke families and everyone else who feels the impact of this tremendous loss of a truly wonderful person.

Hannah,

I am honored to have known you. There are no words to describe what an incredible human being you were. You have always been there for me when I needed help and guidance and not once have you made me feel bad about my stupid questions. I always enjoyed you laughing at my “misery” before and after our shifts in the locker room.

The memories you left behind will be cherished forever. Rest easy locker buddy and “Tribe Leader”.

My heartfelt condolences to the Demik and Clarke families. You are in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Demik and Clarke families.
I met Hannah when I became the Admitting and Discharge Manager at the Jail. She was a truly wonderful person, who was easy to get along with and she made my job easy. Her outgoing personality and friendly nature made everyone around her a better person. I am truly in shock that she has left us far too soon. The world is a little less bright without her radiant light in it.
To her HPS family, just know that your friends at the jail are grieving with you.
Hannah, we will miss you forever and we will carry a piece of your caring soul within us always.

Hannah,
You made coaching look easy, despite me being your first ever recruit.
You gave me handwritten notes, study guides, and answered my thousands of questions. You were always smiling, always funny, and always someone I could look to for guidance.
You embodied everything I hope to be as both a person & officer, and we were all very lucky to have known you.
Sending so much love to everyone struggling with this loss.

When I started doing DNA and fingerprints you were always helping me when I was thrown into all the crazy things alone .. so many late night texts bugging you and you were so patient and helpful. Outside of work you were so so much fun and the life of the party every where you went! You will never be forgotten… I am sending all my love to the Demik and Clarke Family. Hannah started with us at HPS when she was only 20yrs old...I'd like to believe her work family had a small part of her growth to the most gentle hearted woman she became. But we all knew where her inner and outer beauty came from...her family..and her faith...we had great discussions.....her love for you all made my heart always swell when she told stories of you...and Ben ..you lit her eyes up....I will be forever grateful to have known this beautiful soul....❤
