It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roy Turvey on Tuesday December 13, 2022, at the age of 93.
He was the loving husband of Ann Turvey (nee Corcoran) for 69 years and proud father of three children: Rick (Nancy), David (Laurie) and Diane (Eamon). He was known as Poppy to his 11 grandchildren: Kristen, Sarah, Andrew, Ben, Hattie, Noah, Max, Brianne, Sheena, Sean, and Katelyn, along with many great grandchildren.
Roy devoted his career to helping youth at Junior Achievement in Calgary and Hamilton. He was also a committed member of the Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He loved volunteering with "Roy's Boys" and was later awarded the Order of Niagara for his dedication to the church.
We would like to thank all the staff at Wentworth Heights Retirement home and Juravinski Hospital, along with the numerous PSWs who were so helpful and wonderful with him.
Visitation and funeral will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 435 Mohawk Rd W, Hamilton on Friday, December 16, 2022. Visitation: 12:30-1:30 p.m.; Funeral: 1:30 p.m.; Reception to follow.
