MARGARET MESAGLIO (NEE BARKER)
We are sad to announce that our mother, Margaret Mesaglio (nee Barker) (aged 85), passed peacefully on January 20, 2023 at Macassa Lodge (Hamilton). She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Remo (2015). She was born August 18, 1937 in Hamilton.
Margaret is survived by her children Marianne (Joe Sicurella), Steven (Elizabeth), Teresa and David (Dora), as well as eight grandchildren (Laura, Christina, John, Michael, Felicity, Christine, Kyle and Emilie) and four great-grandchildren (Sophia, Serafina, Zoey and Charlie). Margaret will be missed by her sisters-in-law, Cersina Meyer and Trudy Barker, brother-in-law, Silvio Mesaglio, as well as many nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.
Visitation will take place at M.A. Clark & Sons (567 Upper Wellington, Hamilton) on Wednesday, January 25 from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm. Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church/St. Catherine of Siena (416 Mohawk Road East, Hamilton) on Thursday, January 26 at 10:00am. Internment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery (1895 Main Street West, Hamilton).
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at M.A. Clark & Sons following internment.
At Margaret’s request, please wear something cheerful – NO BLACK!! She also asked that you do not send flowers, but instead donate to : The Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or Hamilton-Burlington SPCA.

Rest in peace Margaret. You will be missed terribly by your daughter Teresa who fought endlessly to make everyday as comfortable as possible for you. You were loved unconditionally.
