ALFRED JOHN BARRY

1935-2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred on Saturday September 9/23 at the Jurvinski Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Many thanks to all the staff at the hospital who took such good care of Alf.

He is survived by his devoted wife Helen (Glinka) of 14 years. and son Mark and daughter Nadine (Paul Parisee)

Grandchildren: Ryan, Eric, Jennie Lyn.

Stepchildren: Patricia, Peter, Susanne, Carolyn and Steven.

Brothers: Jim (Ann) and Ray (Clara).

His wife Marjorie of 50 years predeceased Alf in 2008.

Alfred retired from Stelco after 37 years of service and enjoyed travelling and spending winters in Arizona with late wife Marjorie and

Alfred also enjoyed boating. fishing and completing jig saw puzzles and playing euchre and was an avid Blue Jays fan. He had also been a

Member of a Barbershop Quartet.

Alfred and Helen enjoyed many summers at the cottage at Lauderdale Point with friends there and travelling until his health prevented him from going

Far from home.

Funeral arrangements are being made by M.A. Clark and Sons Funeral Home. A Remembrance of Alf's life will be

held on Saturday September 16/23 from 12- 2p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation has taken place and will be taken to White Chapel Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers ,donations to Heart and Stroke, Liver foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family
