MOORE, Beverley (Clare)

Passed away after a brief illness on May 23, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in her 87th year. Bev was predeceased by loving husbands John Clare (1986) and Jack Moore (1999), she is also predeceased by her precious daughter Suzanne (2011) and stepson Terry Moore (2008). She is survived by her son Steven Clare (Cathy) and much loved grandchildren Samantha and Jack Clare. She will be fondly remembered by son in law Des and also by Karen and Wendy Moore. Bev retired after many years with the Hamilton Board of Education. She was very devoted to her church and held many positions at the local, presbytery and conference level, as well as past president of the Hamilton Presbyterial United Church Women. For some years she acted as secretary for the board of Wesley Urban Ministries. Many volunteer years were spent with the ALS society, locally and with the Ontario board of which she was the recipient of the award for the ALS volunteer of the year. Cremation has taken place. Private internment will follow at a later date in the Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario. A celebration of life will be held at BURKHOLDER UNITED CHURCH (465 Mohawk Road East) on Friday June 2, at 2:00p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Burkholder United Church, Wesley Urban Ministries or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Bev was a dear friend and a cherished neighbour for over 50 years. We will remember her for her generous nature and her devotion to helping those less fortunate. She was a special lady and we are saddened to hear of her passing. Our condolences to Steve and family.

To Steve and family... very sorry to hear about your wonderful mom. She was such a special woman in so many ways, and was a great support to Linda when she decided to enter ministry. She obviously had a tremendous effect on many people and was well loved.
