It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of RSM Richard Arthur Phillips Seager, CD, (retired) on Monday, January 20, 2026 in his 86 year, with his wife, Laurel, by his side.

He will be forever missed by his daughters Jennifer Jo (Conrad) and Sacha, sister Arthurlyn, by granddaughter’s Lexie (Brandan),Sabrina and grandson Devon.

Richard spent 34 years with the city of Hamilton and after retiring spent the next 23 years as business manager of the Canadian international Military Tattoo

Richard has been associated with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Since he was 15 ending up with two terms as RSM. The regiment meant everything to him.

Music was also a great part of his life, and he was very proud to play with The Toronto signals band..

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the medical and nursing staff of Saint Joseph’s Hospital for their continuing extremely attentive care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Foundation at donate.ARF@argylls.ca and remember to put Argyle regimental association on the memo line

Visitation will be held at MA Clarke Funeral home on Upper Wellington on Friday, February 6 from 6PM until 9 PM, with the funeral taking place at Central Presbyterian Church in Hamilton on Saturday, February 7 at 2:30 PM. Reception to follow.

You heard the call of the pipes a calling and left this side of life
To Tir nan Og set sail and left so many here to mourn your passing
Yet on that far shore, those who have gone before we gathering
I can see Morley Balinson & hear him say "Right you are boys-
