John Michalik

May 8, 1946 - February 9, 2026

John passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at Hamilton General Hospital. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Faith, and his cherished daughter, Cindy.
John was a devoted father and grandfather whose love was shown more through actions than words. Though he could be strong-willed, he was steadfast in his commitment to his family. He believed in responsibility, perseverance, and doing what needed to be done, values he lived by and passed down in his own way.
An active man at heart, John had a lifelong love of movement and sport. In his younger years, he ran marathons, a testament to his determination and discipline. He could often be found on his bicycle, enjoying the simple freedom of the ride. John also had a deep love for baseball and played the game for many years, finding joy in the sport and the camaraderie of being part of a team. A devoted “sun worshipper,” John loved spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, soaking in the warmth and light that brought him so much joy.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Dawn (Lance), Shelli (Vince), and Amber, as well as by his grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.
Visitation will take place at M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by a service in the chapel. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA and would be greatly appreciated.
