Nathan Robert De Groot

November 14, 1987 - March 23, 2026

Nathan Robert DeGroot (November 14,1987-March 23,2026) The Lord called home to himself his child Nathan at the age of 38, after a year long struggle with cancer. He was the beloved son of Gary and Henny+ DeGroot, and youngest of their 5 children. We are grieving his passing, yet we find comfort in knowing that death is not the end for those who put their trust in Jesus. Nathan now lives in heaven with Jesus Christ his Savior, free at last from all suffering.
Nathan was predeceased by his mother, Henny DeGroot. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Gary DeGroot; his siblings: Sara and Steve Koning, Mike DeGroot, Melissa and Jeff Tigchelaar, and Dan DeGroot; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Calvin Koning, Austin Koning, Jill and Ryan Heeg, Abby Koning, Aaron and Steph Tigchelaar, Jess and John Michael Bout, Naomi and Dan Fintelman, Kelsey and Josh Vander Heide, and Ella and Andrew Enter.
Nathan worked at Second Nature Designs Ltd., where he took great pride in his work. He found great joy in his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews, who meant so much to him.
Visitation will be at Rehoboth URC in Ancaster on Thursday, March 26 from 6-8pm. All welcome to the interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Rehoboth URC in Ancaster. Luncheon to follow.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to friends and family who faithfully supported Nathan and the family in prayer, as well as to Dr. Ellis, Deb Evans and the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks also to Pastor Jeremy Veldman for his counsel and visits
