Charles Victor Cuttriss

February 25, 1931 - May 5, 2026

Charles Victor Cuttriss
“Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”
The Lord took Charles peacefully home on Tuesday May 5, 2026. Charles was the beloved husband and friend of Sonya Ann (Zayac). In 1971, they eloped to Gretna Green , Scotland and would have been married 55 years on May 28, 2026. Charles was an only child of the late James and Viola Cuttriss.
Since 2013, Charles has resided at Queens Garden LTC Home after a debilitating stroke. He will be missed by family, friends and the Philpott Church community. He appreciated the faithful visits and outings with Ken Dolbear, John (Dusty) Stevenson, Gunther Treimanis and Derek Wilson. Our grateful thanks to the Visitation Pastors over the years for their spiritual encouragement. More recently, the assistance from Parimal and Joyce Christian, Randy and Edith DeKruger and Stefan Newallo, which enabled Charles to still enjoy the country drives that he loved. Heart felt thanks to the many staff members at Queens Garden (especially Dundurn area) for their compassionate and loving care. You became family to both of us.
Cremation has taken place and a Visitation will be held at M.A. Clark & Sons Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington St. Hamilton on Wednesday May 13th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to City Kidz or the Philpott Memorial Church Missions Fund (Finance@communityofgrace.org)
“When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We’ll sing and shout the Victory.”
