Our hearts were breaking as we sat and watched my wife Darlene take her last breath.
With my hand on her heart to show her that she was not alone, I knew that she had left us
and had started on her journey to see her father and mother, Stanley and Doris Carson.
Sadly left behind husband Hugh Richardson, son Ryan Heidekamp, step-son Patrick Richardson,
sister-in-law Marion Richardson, brother and sister-in-law David and Brenda Carson of Dartmouth N. S.,
grand-daughter Myranda Darlene Richardson (Julian), great-grand-son Asher, and of course Parker
(Nosey Parker) her dog, who is a little lost right now. Close friends, Debbie Fogal, Bob and Hilda West, and many more.
Darlene was a friend of Bill W. and was a member of the Liberty Group. She had many friends in the
Liberty Group and also other groups of A. A.. She liked going to many meetings (thanks for the cake).
Born in Port Dalhousie (Port Girl). She was a Majorette, Highschool cheerleader, and liked to play
baseball. Darlene came to Hamilton, had a few jobs, but finally settled in at the Hamilton General Hospital.
She took classes at Mohawk Collage and night school and got her certificate as an E. E. G. Technician which
she really enjoyed. Later on she got her certificate as an E. M. G. Technician. Darlene worked hard for what she
got and had !! Many illnesses, surgeries, treatments and medications found their way to Darlene, but she never
gave up and fought back. Her courage and stamina in dealing with her many illnesses made me call her
" MY HERO ".
Family and Friends will miss Darlene L. Carson, BUT,, the good thing about it,,,,
" WE GOT TO KNOW AND LOVE HER, TO THE MOON AND BACK "..
