Mrs. Hladun was one of my favourite teachers. In the 80’s I had her in grade 3 at Ridgemount and then again through middle school at Westview. She was kind, attentive, and recognized the fledgling bookworm in me. She introduced me to many beloved novels and I remember especially The Witch of Blackbird Pond. I have so many fond memories of my time as her student. My deepest condolences to her husband, and to Paul and all who knew and loved in her.
