Joyce Elizabeth Verhoog (McKenzie)
1938 - 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Elizabeth Verhoog (McKenzie) on Tuesday June 23, 2026.
She died peacefully at Extendicare-Hamilton Long Term Care, at the age of 87.
Born in the Eastern Townships in Quebec, Joyce married the late Arie Verhoog and lived the greater part of her life in Hamilton, Ontario.
She will be deeply missed by Vincent, Meghan, Sue as well as her step children and grandson, her extended family and her many friends.
The family extends their sincere gratitude and many thanks to the staff of Extendicare-Hamilton for their compassionate care and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the M.A Clarke Funeral Home, 567 Upper Wellington, Hamilton, ON L9A 3P8
Joyce requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Hamilton SPCA.
