Jacoba Fennema (Tena) Has passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Friday July 23, 2026. The Lord took unto himself our dearly beloved mother Tena, in her 97th year.
She is a loving mother to John and Carol Fennema, Harry and Ann-Marie Fennema, Daniella and Henry Schilthuis and Lou-Ann (Leonard) Bick. Tena is a lovingly adored Oma to 20 Grandchildren and 44 Great Grandchildren. Tena was known for her lively spirit, sweetness and humour.
Tena will be sadly missed by her sister Henrietta and her brother Ilon plus all her extended family and friends at Wellingstone.
Visitation will be on Tuesday July 28th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Mount Hope Community Christian Reformed Church, 3076 Homestead Drive, Mount Hope. Private family burial on Wednesday July 29th at 9:00 AM which will be followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Mount Hope Community Christian Reformed Church, 3076 Homestead Drive.
