De Groot, Hendrik (Henry, Henk)
February 28, 1936 –
On Sunday, July 26th our heavenly Father called his beloved son, Hendrik De Groot to his eternal home in his 91st year. Hendrik was predeceased by his two daughters, Deborah (1966) and Wendy (1992) and his son, Steven (2020). He was a loving husband to Ann De Groot for 68 years.
He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Marlene Knevel, and Irene and Dan Huinink, his daughter-in-law Diane De Groot, and his son-in-law and daughter-in-law and John and Jeanette Meijaard, along with his 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care Henry received from the nurses and staff at Shalom Manor in Grimsby.
Visitation to be held at Mt. Hope Community CRC, 3076 Homestead Drive, Mt. Hope ON on Tues Aug 4th from 5 – 8 p.m.. Private internment to take place at 9:45 a.m. on Wed Aug 5 th followed by his memorial service at Mt. Hope Community CRC at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shalom Manor would be greatly appreciated . livestream available via the church website. www.mounthopecommunitycrc.org
