Verschoor, John 1936 - 2026
On Thursday August 27, 2026, the Lord took unto himself, John Verschoor, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Maria Verschoor, father of Dave (Kris), Henry (Hailey), Jessie (Arie), Wally (Lori) and Tricia (Paul). Proud Grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. He will be missed by his sister Liz. Predeceased by his brothers Bernie, Jake and sister Ina, plus he will be missed by his many friends and extended family. A private family interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are invited to the Memorial Service on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11 am at the Mount Hope Community Christian Reformed Church on 3076 Homestead Drive, Mount Hope with Rev. Mark Zylstra officiating. A reception to follow the service. Thank you to all the staff and caregivers at Wentworth Heights and Dr Bob Kemp Hospice for the wonderful care they gave him while in their care. We take comfort knowing that John is with his Lord and Saviour in Heaven. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
