Ann Elizabeth Pougnet October 25, 1964 – September 27, 2026
After battling numerous forms of cancer over the past 17 years, we sadly announce that Ann Elizabeth Pougnet’s battle ended peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, September 27th, 2026 at the age of 61.
Anyone who met Ann quickly learned that she was a force of nature in her strength and resilience. She will be dearly missed by her friends, family, and the many diligent healthcare professionals she had throughout her challenging life.
Ann is survived by the father of her children, Don Pougnet (Hamilton); her sisters, Julie O’Sullivan (Middleton, Ireland) and Deborah Richardson (Southport, England), and her brother, David Copson (Southport); her four children, Danielle Pougnet-Misale (Thorold), Adam Pougnet (Balderson), Andrew Pougnet (Brantford), and Richard Pougnet (Halifax); and her much-loved grandchildren, Oliver, Isabelle, Mackenzie, Lyla, Vayda, and Molly.
Predeceased by her father, Paul Copson, and her mother, Maureen Dawson of Southport, England plus her sister, Helen Howard (also of Southport).
Family, friends, and valued acquaintances are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in memory of Ann at M.A. Clark and Sons Funeral Home in Hamilton on Saturday, October 3rd from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) who provided such excellent care to Ann when her health was ailing.

My dear aunt Ann was a beautiful woman whos strength I will always remember, May she rest peacefully, her memory will live on in all of our hearts 💕 my deepest condolences to the family.

Auntie Ann - words cannot express what you mean to me. Distance is hard but you were never far away. The support you have always given me, but especially in recent years when dealing with your own pain and grief, I’ll never forget. My dear sweet Annie
You were like a sister to me and more. The fun we always had, the great talks were in abundance and the adventures were unlimited. We shared so much together lady. My fondest memory is splashing in the puddles with you while camping…oh what fun!

Ann was a Warrior she fought many battles in her life and won, what ever was thrown at her she fought it to the end. I'm going to miss you Ann but I will always remember you at Easter time. You are at peace now.
